EVERY SUNDAY MORNING – 11am-12pm:
Our main service of worship.
You are welcome regardless of ethnic background or what your first language is or what age you are or whether you have ever or never been to church before.
There is no dress code. After the service we serve tea and coffee and biscuits in the hall. All are welcome to stay for this.
What happens here?
We read the Bible together, pray, have some fun, spend
time in quietness. There is a sermon. We sing songs, some
traditional, some newer ones. We hope that in our worship
time different needs can be met and we can all meet with
God.
After the service we serve tea and coffee and biscuits in the hall. All are welcome to stay for this.
We read the Bible together. Bibles are provided for in the service and we have the main readings for the day on a large screen . We pray together using a variety of approaches for to say we are sorry, give thanks, to praise God and to pray for God’s help.
We have some fun together. The majority of services will have some light hearted moments, as we do not believe that Jesus would not want us to enjoy worshipping him!
We spend some time in quietness. This is a chance to reflect quietly, to bring our own prayers or simply to get a little moment of peace.
There is a sermon. It is seldom longer than 15 minutes. We believe that it is important to make sense of what it says in the Bible and to be offered a clearer idea of how God wants us to lead our lives.
We sing songs, some traditional, some newer ones. We hope that in our worship time different needs can be met and we can all meet with God.
We have an offering. We do not say how much you have to give, but a bag is passed around and we all give what we can for the work of the church. We are funded entirely by the money we raise at our church.
:
We spend the first half hour with all ages together and then children and young people go to various groups:
- Creche – for pre-school children.
- Junior Church – one group for Primary School age and one
for Secondary School
Once a month, usually the first Sunday, we have an all age
service, which includes “Parade” for our Girls’ Brigade.
This service is normally a bit shorter, more active and we
all stay together for the whole time.
Also once a month, always on the third Sunday, we have
communion as part of the morning service. All who are
seeking to follow in the ways of Jesus Christ are welcome to
share in this. Communion services normally finish at about
12.10pm.
